India vs South Africa Live Cricket Score, T20 World Cup Warm-Up: IND Post Massive 240/6 in Navi Mumbai

India vs South Africa Live Cricket Score, T20 World Cup Warm-Up Match Today:
India produced a dominant batting performance to pile up a huge 240/6 in 20 overs against South Africa in their T20 World Cup warm-up clash at the DY Patil Stadium, Navi Mumbai, on Wednesday.

Winning the toss, Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav elected to bat first, and his decision paid rich dividends as the Indian batters unleashed a brutal assault on the South African bo

wling attack.

Ishan Kishan’s Half-Century Sets the Tone

India’s innings was powered by a fluent half-century from Ishan Kishan, who provided early momentum alongside Abhishek Sharma. Although Abhishek retired out after scoring 24 off 19 balls, the run rate never dipped as India continued to dominate through the middle overs.

Tilak Varma, Surya and Pandya Fire

Tilak Varma looked in sensational touch, continuing his impressive form and putting South Africa under immense pressure. His aggressive stroke play kept the scoreboard ticking before he was eventually dismissed by Marco Jansen, bowled around his legs.

Captain Suryakumar Yadav came in and played with his trademark flair before falling to a slower delivery from Kwena Maphaka, toe-ending a shot towards the square-leg region — an area bowlers have often targeted against him.

Late cameos from Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel and Rinku Singh ensured India crossed the 240-run mark. Rinku, however, had a rare off day and was dismissed by Anrich Nortje, holing out at long-on.

Nortje Endures Tough Day, SA Bowlers Pull Things Back Late

South Africa’s bowlers struggled badly in the first half of the innings, conceding runs at nearly 13.5 per over at one stage. Anrich Nortje, in particular, had a forgettable outing, conceding 49 runs in his first two overs, as Kishan and Tilak targeted his pace on the red-soil surface.

While the Proteas did manage to slow India down in the final overs using well-directed slower deliveries, the damage had already been done. Questions will now be raised over Nortje’s role in subcontinental conditions, where his pace without variations may prove expensive.

South Africa Face Massive Chase

Despite a late recovery by the South African bowlers, India’s total remains a mammoth challenge heading into the second innings. With conditions expected to remain batting-friendly, South Africa will need something special to chase down the target.
